“The Old Quarter of Hanoi” put up by Kieu Khanh at Miss World charity auction was bid at highest offer

The precious gem picture named “The Old Quarter of Hanoi” that Vietnamese representative brought to Miss World was sold at 200,000 Yuan, the highest price among all offers for items put up at the Miss World Charity Auction in Shanghai on 09 October evening.

On October 9^th, Kieu Khanh and other contestants visited Shang Hai Expo (China) for cultural exchange activities and sightseeing of architectural structures. On the same day, the maidens also attended a charity party, where they put up their gifts at a Charity Auction to raise money for victims affected by the flood in Hainan, China.

Based on the alphabet order, Vietnamese representative - the first Runner-up of Miss Vietnam World Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Khanh, Miss Venezuela and Miss Wales were the last contestants to appear on the stage and auction their gifts. The picture put up by Khanh, which describes a corner of Hanoi Capital, sized 90cm x 100cm, and is studded with such precious gems as ruby, sapphire, quartz, topaz etc., was sold at the highest price of 200.000 Yuan (equivalent to 570 million VND).

On this occasion, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Kien Giang province‘s Poor Patient Patronage Association, Mr. Trang Lam- Chairman and Artisan Nguyen Huu Dzung and other artisans who spent almost 1 month to complete this meaningful gift”, said Kieu Khanh.

At the charity party, Kieu Khanh also received a lot of compliments for the Ao Dai embroidered with Sword Lake made by Designer Ngan An. “Many guests took photos with me and showed their interest in the Ao Dai I was wearing. This Ao Dai helps express the devotion of mine, a Vietnamese, to our Capital while our country is celebrating 1000^th Thang Long-Hanoi Anniversary”, Kieu Khanh expressed.

However, Miss World Organization, by mistake, gave the wrong information on its website that the handmade bracelet auctioned by Miss Venezuela received the highest offer at Charity Night. Entertainment Group Elite Vietnam, the company who sends Kieu Khanh to this International beauty contest, has contacted Miss World Organization to confirm the information and re quested correction to the news.
