The coronation night of miss Vietnam world 2010: Spectacular, impressive and Featuring Vietnamese culture

Right at 8 p.m the Coronation Night of Miss Vietnam World 2010 with the topic “Beauty of the ocean, Scent of the lotus, Spirit of Vietnamese” started with the appearance of the world-famous Il Divo band. In the exciting and romantic background music of the song “Amazing Grace”, the 40 contestants appeared in uniform white dress and a strip with names of their cities printed on. The 5,000-seat musical water stage was full of audience, who gave very loud applause for this impressive opening and appearance of the contestants.

After the opening, the contestants had a bikini show and Ao Dai show. With the creative and assiduous arrangement, the 40 contestants paraded their youthful beauty and grace of Vietnamese girl artistically and attractively. Although Mr. Hiep – Deputy Head of the Organizing Board had said: “Our point of view is just to let everything shine naturally, and the audience will be the judgers. We want to build a Coronation Night that is beautiful in terms of image, profound in terms of content, and above of all, it will be venue to honor the beauty and talent of Vietnamese women worldwide…”, on such a wonderfully artistic stage with assiduous and reasonable arrangement, the beauty and confidence of the contestants seemed to multiply.

Not only the performances of the hardworking contestants are attractive, the beautiful singing and dancing performances of the artistes of the night also deserve very high appreciation. Although the artistes “efface themselves” for the contestants to shine, they still shone brightly and contributed a lot to the success of the Coronation Night. The audience may remember every contestant and her number, but will not forget the excellence and romance of Unbreak My Heart, The Winner Takes It All by Il Divo, A flower of Impermanence, The Sun Wing by The five Stave, Rain on the Old Tower, The Temple and the Village by the sea by Tung Duong, The Sunrise by Ha Anh Tuan or Cham dances…

After the bikini and Ao Dai shows, the Jury selected a Top 15, including the five girls obtaining fast track: Nguyen Thanh Huyen (589) – Miss Talent, Pham Thuy Vy Victoria (808) (Miss Sports), Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Khanh (588) – Miss Ocean, Ninh Hoang Ngan (865) – Miss Fashion and Ha Thi Hoang Anh (988) Miss Ao Dai, and 10 other girls: Bui Thi Thu Huong (866), Ho Thi Oanh Yen (666), Nguyen Mai Anh (333), Nguyen Thanh Van (599), Nguyen Thu May Danieal (888), Luu Thi Diem Huong (299), Phan Thi Mo (668), Phan Thi Ly (679), The Thi Thanh Truc (586) and Nguyen Phuong Mai (889).

Right after the very graceful Cham dances and the song Rain on the Old Tower by singer Tung Dương, the Top 15 continued with their performances in opulent evening dresses of Son Collection. After discussing, the Jury decided to select 5 contestants to the Q&A session: Pham Thuy Vy Victoria, Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Khanh, Luu Thi Diem Huong, Phan Thi Mo and Phan Thi Ly.

Although the girls were very anxious before 5,000 audience, most of them answered the question in Vietnamese fluently, from which the answer of Luu Thi Diem Huong was assessed to be the best. The question for Huong was “What does The Temple of Literature conjure you up?”. She said it the Temple is the first university of Vietnam and that it is the symbol of the thirst for knowledge of Vietnamese. She also mentioned about the pride of the learning tradition of Vietnam, the value of knowledge and education, which are considered the development base of our country…

Before announcing the official prizes, the Jury announced the sub-prizes of the Pageant: Miss Photogenic: Luu Thi Diem Huong (no. 299), Miss Friendliness: Nguy Thanh Lan (no. 669), The most beautiful face: Nguyen Thu May (no. 888), and Miss Elegant: Nguyen Mai Anh (no. 333)

Finally is the most anticipated moments: Miss Sports Pham Thuy Vy Victoria was announced the second runner-up, the girl from Germany, Miss Ocean Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Khanh was announced the first runner-up and Miss Photogenic Luu Thi Diem Huong was selected to be Miss Vietnam World 2010. When Huong was announced to be the winner, the audience gave thunder applause to congratulate her. Huong was very moved and said “This is great happiness for me. I do not know how to say anything else than extending my sincere thanks to everybody and I promise to try my best efforts to fulfill my task as a Miss Vietnam World…”

With this achievement, Luu Thi Diem Huong is given a reward of VND500million from the Organizing Board, a crown of VND1billion from Zela. The reward for the First Runner-up Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Khanh is VND300million while that for the second Runner-up Pham Thuy Vy Victoria is VND200million.

According to the Organizing Board, the proceeds of more than 3billion dongs from tickets, plus the proceeds of 1billion and 10 million dongs from the crowning auction shall be used for Charity activities under the Contest’s name.

Speaking about the results of the Miss Vietnam World 2010, Mr. Le Canh Nhac, Head of the Jury affirms: “We have made our best efforts and worked fairly and strictly. The successful contestants absolutely deserve their prizes. On behalf of the Jury, I would like to congratulate all the contestants, especially those who won prizes…”

While Mr. Nguyen Trong Hien, Head of the Organizing Board, Chairman cum CEO of Vinpearl JSC said happily: “Finally Miss Vietnam World 2010 has successfully completed. We are really happy because we have kept the promise of a spectacular, impressive and fair pageant.
